Australian consumer law — refunds & guarantees

Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) you have certain guarantees when buying services. If a service is not rendered with due care and skill, or is not reasonably fit for its disclosed purpose, you may be entitled to remedies including re-performance, refund or compensation.

Refund & cancellation highlights

  • Standard cancellations: please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
  • Late cancellations or ***-shows may incur up to 50% of the service fee for single bookings and full retention for pre-paid packages.
  • Claims for faulty or unsatisfactory services should be made within a reasonable time and we will assess remedial options.

Health, Safety & Client Consent

To protect your wellbeing, all clients must complete any pre-treatment health declarations and disclose relevant medical conditions. We may decline services where treatments could present risks (e.g., pregnancy, recent surgery, severe skin conditions).

  • Clients are responsible for disclosing allergies, medications and skin sensitivity.
  • Certain advanced treatments require a patch test and prior written consent.
  • We follow hygiene and infection control protocols in accordance with local health guidance.

Privacy & Personal Data (summary)

We collect basic personal information needed for appointments and treatment records. Full details on collection, use, retention and access rights are in our Privacy Policy.

We store client records securely and limit access to authorised staff. Where required by law or for health emergencies, data may be disclosed to medical professionals or authorities.

Data retention

Treatment records are retained for a minimum period required by industry standards and Australian law. Requests for access or correction should be directed to the Privacy Officer listed in the Privacy Policy.

Dispute Resolution & ACCC information

We aim to resolve disputes promptly. If you have a complaint, please raise it with our studio manager. If unresolved, consumers in Australia may contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or their state consumer protection agency.

Contact our customer relations at Directflowau@gmail.com. Please allow up to 14 days for an initial response.

Common legal FAQs

Please contact the studio within a reasonable time to discuss remediation — options may include corrective service, partial refund, or credit depending on circumstances and ACL obligations.

Pre-paid packages are subject to terms at time of purchase. Refunds may be limited; we offer transfer or credit in many cases. Refer to your package terms or contact us for details.

We may recommend or retail third-party products. Manufacturer warranties and returns are governed by those suppliers; we will assist where appropriate.
